Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

5.4 this morning, really must get some proper sleep, my current 2/4 hrs per night is getting wearisome.

But hey ho off to work I go.

Update o my daughter, saw our preferred gp again last night, he's agreeing the headaches more migraine like and issued a stronger more head focused pain killer, amitriptyline, which should also help with sleep, back at end of the month to review and if no improvement then arrange a ct scan. He did comment she didn't look well and had lost weight, but had a nice talk to he about school and when jokingly mentioning a boyfriend she said she doesn't have one yet and he said the boys must be blind, so that was a nice retort! Seems a better night for her last night too so fingers crossed......

Hi Kimbo, glad to hear that the Dr is looking after your daughter. I will keep my fingers crossed that the new pills help.:) Oh and by the way I would LOVE a 5.7 in the morning.. @Clivethedrive I think Kimbo needs More lines :)

You can find them in some supermarkets but I have started to order mine direct from the factory as it works out cheaper. You will have to test which ones work for you...

Actually, at the 2 hr mark I was down to 7.7 :)

I think a lot of us have put on a pound of too over the Christmas/New Year period. I know I have. So I am back on to a strict LCHF diet and this time I am calorie counting as well - I'm upping my exercise and trying to do at least 30 mins every day, as I need to be the same or at least a little lighter when I go back to the dr's for my 3 month review...
 
6.3 this morning.... ate my breakfast in the car on the way to work again as I was quite pleased with the results in the end yesterday. At 2 hrs after eating I was 7.7 and my live didn't quite manage to dump on me. Fingers crossed :):):)

Oh and stay in doors if you can its hell out there, windy, and raining.. big fat raindrops..buuuuurrrrrrrr

Also, you don't have to change your lancet gadget because you have a new meter. You can use any lancet gadget with any meter.

Thanks Bluetit. I will start to use the needles more than once then, save the NHS a lot of money:D perhaps i could bargain with them and get my teeth "Celebrity" whitened. :D
