Appreciated and Fair comment.....@Andbreathe ..after 3.5 hours 5.4. Missed the 2.5 and 3 hours...I really don't mind rain on my barbeque.... thats what I love about this forum no BS from some, empathy from others sympathy and support, encouragement, advice and challenge I take it all....my recent numbers generally have been great.....have a great night.....Could you test after 2.5 or 3 hours? I hate to rain on your BBQ, but, your 2 hours reading was increased from an hour, so it could still have been rising. Pizza is sort of know for it, unfortunately. You could try googling pizza effect - for example: http://www.dlife.com/diabetes-food-and-fitness/what_do_i_eat/fats/030.diet_exercise.pizza
I do hope your numbers are the peaks, but I'd be inclined to want more tests.

Thanks Dibbles...5.4 after 3.5 hrs.missed the 2,5 and 3 hrs. Been watching footy. I've upped my walking from 2 miles a day to nearer 5/6 and started 45 mins in the gym for upper body toning. Maybe that's helping....I don't fancy making a habit of pizza and fizzy drink though it just felt like i deserved a change today and was surprised I got the numbers I did...Very true @AndBreathe Forgot about that, but pizza does keep rising for 3 or 4 hours and leaves your BG elevated a lot longer.
Hope not for @beatdise sake, but true.
Thanks @adrian207 I wish improvement and success for all my colleagues for the their own personal battles . I remember the 17's and 9's I was reporting in my early days on here and the guidance and support i got. I was constantly reminded we are all different so happy to be seemingly going in the right direction....That is a GREAT result. I can see the faces turning green already.....................no, not with being sick but with envy![]()
But still 5.6 is well within the normal range...now THATS CONTROL!From 4.5 to 5.6 this am
I had pumpkin for dinner.
Does eating pumpkin make you spike? Before it didn't used to.
Thanks!

Thanks @Dibbles1 I am just sO grateful for small mercies. Being diagnosed has totally changed my outlook on my life, of my aspirations, on faith in my own body and self discipline... the desire to live a long, full healthy and active llfe is such a huge prize that has helped maintain my motivation. I had used ageing years as an excuse for everything and I realise now that was sO wrong...look I have had my 8s, 9's even 10's when I couldnt understand why so even if it might have peaked at around that I am feeling ok. In the past I have felt groggy and sleepy, today I just felt normal. That sounds good then.
I think your exercising and building muscle is doing the trick then @beatdise x So pleased for you
As @AndBreathe says though, it might have gone a little higher in between.
But still, sounds pretty good to me![]()

Good morning... A lot of us would be ver happy with your 5.9...I have been put onto Insulin, which I always dreaded, but now seems inevitable. My morning readings average 5.9. Seeing diabetic nurse next month, I am not sure how well/badly I am doing.
