4.9 this morning.. my lowest fasting ever...I was dancing around the bedroom link a lunatic this morning... just hope this didn't waking up my liver too early... now I just need to find out why I cant seem to loose the weight...
Well done kezzer! Are you doing lchf? What kind of things are you having?

7.3.

I was very late home last night/this morning and hadn't eaten since 5pm when I had a couple of poached eggs to stave off any hunger during the filming. A plate of the promised sandwiches came round about 9pm and I took a single triangle of prawns in granary bread but was 8.3 when I got home at gone midnight. I suspect some of slimline tonics ordered from behind the bar may not have been slimline.....

Interesting evening though. The film crew have TOWIE and Don't Tell The Bride to name a few under their belts and most of the crew (apart from the director who had to drive back to London at midnight last night) have been staying in my town since last August filming local characters, of whom my friend , a local business woman, is one. They have been shadowing her for the last 6 days. Last night she was hosting a genuine networking event to which I was invited, which was filmed. I managed to do some real networking and met one interesting guy who leases helicopters, super yachts and high performance cars. He's offered me a good deal on helicopter hire if I need one, which may be a solution to a dilemma I have in the summer!

The crew were great, very friendly, considerate and relatively unobtrusive. The programme is going to be big, apparently, and will air in June. Fascinating insight into how these programmes are made and staged. We signed away all rights for a single £1 and a few sandwiches and soft drinks!

Now to get back on track, return to safe food and meal times. And catch up on lost work time.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.

Bedtime midnight 6.1
Morning 7.1. :-(

Don't think I am ever going to get it lower in the mornings. Still not giving up, yet

No don't give up! I've been LCHF for almost a year now and still can't get my fasting bs down, but there are sooooo many other benefits. Hang in there

Either it's me or batch 44, but if it's me, I have no idea why. My post meal increases are lower than they ever have been, but my pre-meal levels are well up on normal.
Bedtime 5.7
Fasting 6.0 (av of 3)

Thanks posh.
On the up side I am just back from stroll with our dog, which about 2 hours after my porridge and blueberries. Reading pre porridge 7.1. Post walk / stroll 7.9. Not too bad I think.

As if the strips themselves are starting from a slightly different or higher norm/balance/level
Which is cancelled out once readings rise from food... perhaps?
Thereby affecting those with lower normal readings and tighter controls .... maybe?

Yes, you could be right. When you are used to low 5's and some 4's pre-meal, and are now seeing high 5's consistently, plus higher bedtime and fasting, yet lower post meal increases due to slightly more vigilant carb control, something is amiss. Anyways, they are still OK readings, recorded, and I have moved on, just relieved my next HbA1c is not until June!

It's going to be big and you signed away all rights for a quid. Cheap Poshtotty. Lol

Sorry, no I bet it was interesting. Husband a few years ago was invited to see some fiming done, a friend is a cameraman for BBC Scotland. Husband got to help with some of the reflector s ( think thats what there called).
He also had evening meal with crew and actors.

Whereabouts in Bahrain are you @Susikav ? Somewhere off the Budaiya Road? Not been there since the 80s when I worked there for 8 months or so - at the same time as the causeway to Saudi was being built.

5.2 here this morning after another low dinner uplift last night - 4.9 before, 5.2 at +2. This is also coinciding with getting back on the rowing machine for 10 minutes in the late afternoon (as well as walking).

Good morning from dusty Qatar! I liv off the Budaiyah highway - in Barbar... one of the older compounds with lots of lovely old trees and greenery... You would not recognise it now for sure... it's changing every day.... you need to pop over and see it.. :) You would not believe what they have done to Adliya - all the restaurants there are so good now and they've cobbled the little streets and built fountains and flower beds... :)

Don't know what time you're on but reading your wishes on.my birthday :):)
Three hours ahead, which means I'm going to bed when you're often just posting... Thought I'd missed it! Did you have a lovely day? I expect I'll find out what you shouldn't have eaten when I finish catching up here in a bit... :D

In the same bowl.....:rolleyes::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Dogs would be quite happy with it like that and my eldest daughter had a dicky bib as a baby - the plastic ones with a trough at the bottom - once she'd eaten main and pudding out of her dish she started on the bib......
My youngest son used to make sure there was plenty of food and juice in his, hook it under his tray and flick it up... :arghh: it was a sign of things to come, if we had only known... :) He's so lovely and funny still... :playful:
