Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

So after my beautiful 4.6 in the early morning, 2 hours after my half breakfast I was in 5.2(being it the same breakfast for the last couple of days), however, this is about the same time I have been testing daily and it fits within the pattern of 5's at that same time everyday.

I will have the other half of my breakfast now, and see how the day goes.

6.3 - I think I'm just going to be one of those folk with normal bloods rest of day and a high fasting. Even the Metformin made little impact. Not helping that my fibromyalgia is in flare up so I'm in pain and feeling stressed. A lot if us seem to be struggling at the minute one way or other so big hugs to all who need it.
@Susikav think it was you who asked... I can only manage the spelt bread since losing over 5st. Initially even half a slice of very dark rye bread ( the ones out of packets) had me at over 8.

What are you having for breakfast? Porridge an fruit is my favourite but i know it doesn't work for everyone

Back from Drs, 3 phials of blood taken, that's an arm & legfull to me.

3rd time was lucky.

Now hoping for the right result on Friday.

Watch this space.

No liver dump today.
This morning was 8.7
Bedtime last night 12.1 :arghh:. Well that was after apple crumble for pudding.
So it's back on the straight and narrow today.

I had a coffee with 100ml lactose free milk, 1min flax bun, goat cheese, tomato and pepperoni. I had half of the sandwich (flax bun), so really, not many carbs at all... I will try getting rid of the milk tomorrow and using cream instead and see how that goes. However, I have the feeling its not that closely related to what I eat but to slighter higher morning numbers in general. I'm still very pleased with those results though.

Diplomat, Gulf, Golden Tulip, Ritz... all still going and still got good restaurants! :)

Not sure which it was, but I remember going to see both Ravi Shankar and Jasper Carrott at one of them - not at the same time obviously, that would have been bizarre :woot: We also used to hang out at the Yacht Club on Fridays. In those days the airport was still a major hub/stopover.

Hi I'm. New on here! I'm type 2 and struggling been diagnosed about 18 mths. On metformin and nurse just upped it to 1000 a day. Yesterday bloods was between 10 and 15 and I am suffering from violent headaches. Just done bloods and 9.9 already! Any help and support welcome please

Hi @Alliebongo - have a read of the first item linked in my sig below (and the others if you fancy!) and ask any questions. What do you typically eat? I'm sure we can help you get those numbers down.
