Well....The result is in ! Hba1c is 39!!!
Really relieved at this, my last in October was 38 and after stopping meds 2nd week January, I was unsure if it would take me out of my non - diabetic level! So pleased to still in control! :joyful:
Only spoke to receptionist so now need to check with dn when she wants to see me next

Brilliant Kimbo. I am soooooooooo pleased for you, and hopefully the meds are kicked into touch forever. Very well done.
What a thought @Bluetit1802 !! I was only on meds just over 6 months and the thought of losing the control was scary.....now the challenge of keeping it there, but hey, give me a challenge and I'm on it ;)
Thank you!

Many many congrats, haven't you done well, really pleased for you.

My turn next to try without the 2 x Metformin per day.

Again super result.

Told you " under 40" well done kimbo1962 ::))

Really well done. Goes to show how much of any improvement is often down to factors other than the meds. Obviously they had some effect but one of the few positive remarks that came out of my DESMOND course was the DN saying that she just wished more credit was given to the control effects of diet and exercise.

Really well done Kimbo. I think we were all more confident than you.

I'm pretty certain you'll be fine meds-free. You have the mind set.

I know you were AndBreathe - and thank you! It's great to think things can be altered by altering diet and a pill isn't always the answer! I'm determined to be fine- love my lchf lifestyle and won't be changing that!! Still aiming for one more Jean size down, two if possible but don't want to resemble a plank!!

Way to go Kimbo - well done. You should feel really pleased with yourself and your results. You are a great inspiration to all of us who are working hard to hopefully achieve the same great results as you. I feel so very proud of you :)

Thank you cold ethyl! Yes, I think my dn thinks the same, I guess I prove meds don't do it all! Lchf is so easy to adopt as a lifestyle- which I obviously have done, not for a quick fix, but as a way of life now
