I have a history of cancer and lung surgery. Because of the treatment I received by the NHS and a very close family, it was made easier to make some recovery. Breathing will never get back to normality but it is getting easy to cop with.
To be told, out of the blue, that I am now a diabetic was as big a shock as being told I had cancer. Luckily it is diabetes 2 and the glucose tests show just over the maximum I am confident, with the help of NHS I will be OK.
I feel for people who have much worse conditions than I have and hope life will improve for all.
