    Annual review

That’s funny. I just had the same hba1c result which had lowered and the Consultant quizzed me about what I’d been doing. Particularly because my cholesterol had gone from 9 to 5.4 in a year too! Not bad eh, this low carb lifestyle is helping but I am still not on top of other symptoms. Hey...

    The Misery Of Reactive Hypoglycemia

Hi there. I have just been reading this thread and totally understand where you are coming from. It is encouraging to see many folk have learnt to live a relatively normal life with RH? I must admit I am still struggling to find the right foods and activity level and some days I just don’t...

    Blood test results

Thanks Lamont, she wasn’t interested and has prescribed me an anti-depressant. Feeling very fed up with it all. Gastro appointment on May 22 maybe they will help? LIpid appointment in July if I get that far.

Seem to be reacting to Dairy now!

Have you tried A2 milk available now in the UK. It may help? A Professor somewhere in my journey suggested it but sadly it doesn’t suit everyone.

    Blood test results

Just had a raft of blood tests back. My cholesterol is 9mml!! Above 5 is cause for concern so what does that make 9. I have been eating low carb, high fat since June so presumably that’s why. With the pancreatitis, high cholesterol and RH I’ve no idea what I should be eating anymore. Can...

    False Hypos

Thanks. I have been low carb since June 2017 and thought things would have settled down by now. I wake a lot in the night but my readings are fine, the other day I ate 3/4 slice wholemeal toast and peanut butter butter at 1am as I was so hungry. I then slept for nearly 4 hours and when I got...

    Dealing with illness

Thank you for your thoughts and understanding I am soooooo frustrated. I have another issue going on aswell so got a GP appt this morning and met my new GP! A pleasant enough guy but I’m not sure he’ll be fighting any battles for me, I’ll have to wait and see. He is sending me for a raft of...

    Dealing with illness

I have heard some people’s levels drop when they shower and am wondering if this explains the regular dips in the morning? Does anyone else get this?

    Dealing with illness

Thanks @Lamont. I’m wondering if the 9 o’clock drops might be having a shower rather than food and getting ready to go to work etc? I seem to get a lot of symptoms in the morning.

    False Hypos

I was getting symptoms in the 5’s I definitely felt better in the high 5’s and 6’s. So as the body adjusts to the new levels should the hypos lessen? Only I seem to worse than I was in June when I started the LCHF.

    Dealing with illness

Thanks for you help. I am eating mostly low carb, no rice, potatoes (except a small soon full on Sunday lunch as a rest) white flour etc. I woke hungry on Saturday morning around 3 so ate peanut butter on low carb toast as an experiment, that will explain what those dips were about. I can’t...

    Dealing with illness

Thanks for your interest. I’m sorry, to be clear, this was the week I wore a CGM to see what my sugars were doing, particularly at night. Trying to get to the bottom of my sleep disturbances. I hope you can see all the 8 days? I have been low carb since June of last year, so as you say any...

    Dealing with illness

Can anyone help me interpret these results that I hope are attached please? My consultant was off when I went for my appointment and the replacement one said my results were fine and quite within normal limits. They didn’t really talk to me much and kept saying that they didn’t know what my...
