I clean the sensor and filament with an alcohol wipe. Put the filament in the bin, the sensor I recycle with batteries. The applicator I take apart and put the tiny needle in a sharps bin, recycle the spring with metal, and put the plastic in the household recycling.

It was only Novorapid prefilled pens that were discontinued. You can have a reusable pen and Novorapid cartridges.

Yes I use a reusable Novopen echo.

Even the energy and effort to recycle them is outweighed by using cartridges and a reusable pen.

The cartridges go in a pen. As to the labels, is the writing on the cartridges in a foreign language? The label is a legal requirement if so showing the item information in English.

I take the needle and spring out of the applicator and put all the plastic in the local recycling.
