I’ve recently been diagnosed with Type 2, trying to get to know how my body is coping on Metformin so bought a blood glucose monitor (Sinocare) just wondering how accurate it is? Are there particular monitors that people would recommend?

Thank you for taking the time to answer and encourage, I really appreciate it. I start on Metformin today, back on the wagon too with Second Nature eating plan (low carb and low sugar). Trusting that the combination of both will help. [emoji846]

I’m struggling to get my head around multiple health issues that came before Type 2, widespread Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia and Angina. Struggling to also factor in holding down 3 jobs and work out where and how to do exercise. Does anyone else have multiple issues?

Feeling a bit overwhelmed as just been diagnosed over the phone by a GP, my last HBa1c was 49, recently been having symptoms of thirst, extreme tiredness, nausea etc. have also been home testing with results of 12.6 after 2 hours since eating. Just been prescribed Metformin. Now it’s official...

It now reads 12.9, 2 hours after first bite. Is that ok?

Just started using a Blood Glucose Meter, read 10.8, after only a few sips of tea. Should I be concerned. It was 11.6 last night after a couple of hours after a meal.

I’ve been pre-diabetic for about 4 years, I recently had a fresh HBac1 test, result of 49 mmol. I have a second HBac1 blood test booked for 9th January. If it’s the same result, does that mean I’m Diabetic. If I am what would treatment look like? Feeling quite scared.
