Hi, I am not supposed to be pre diabetic but recent tests I do to check have been odd. Like you I have normal fasting levels but without meds. Yesterday I ate a bowl of porridge with prunes and my bg level went through the roof and stayed high for four hours. I did another test after a protein...
I recently had a blood work up. Everything normal except a massive cholesterol count, way above anything I've seen before. A group doctor called me to go and see him. He immediately wrote a prescription for a statin. I got two other checks done and found that my cholesterol is in the ideal...
I have a fasting problem. If I fast only eight hours before testing I get random test results which make me look prediabetic.
I need to fast for at least twelve hours before I get a low normal reading. My HbA1c is normal.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks for any help!
I test my BGL every year. My fasting level is 5.7, which some would say is almost pre diabetic.
Two hours after food the level drops to 5.3. I always thought that the bgl was supposed to rise after food.
Is this normal?
