    Its the time after my last meal or snack. So there is an early morning spike I don't know about. That may be the answer. Thanks for your help.

    I have a fasting problem. If I fast only eight hours before testing I get random test results which make me look prediabetic. I need to fast for at least twelve hours before I get a low normal reading. My HbA1c is normal. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for any help!

    I test my BGL every year. My fasting level is 5.7, which some would say is almost pre diabetic. Two hours after food the level drops to 5.3. I always thought that the bgl was supposed to rise after food. Is this normal?
