Other autoimmune related conditions:
Hashimoto's - Eltroxin 150mcg/day
Asthma - Seretide
Weight has been up and down for many years though significantly increased over past 8 years despite eating low carb and having an active lifestyle.
Rapid weight loss earlier this year led to diagnosis of thryotoxicosis & halving of Eltroxin from 200mcg to 100mcg - symptoms worsened leading to exhaustion. I signed up with a new doctor who checked for diabetes - diagnosed initially with Type 2 but an Endocrinologist did further testing & diagnosed LADA. My GP increased Eltroxin to 150mcg/day & started me on Metformin & Glypizide. Experienced shock, grief, anger, etc & realised this diagnosis was even more of a life-changer than Hashimoto's and Asthma. Attitude to life is to 'make the most of each day' so have made necessary changes to lifestyle although I find the 'shifting sands' nature of BG levels really challenges my generally positive outlook on life.
