    bg reading of 3.6

    I think its the 15 rule, 15g carbs and wait 15 mins. If I'm testing before leaving work at 1.00pm and I know I have to walk home before Im going to eat, if I am below 4.5 and falling - I will have 2-3 glucose tabs.or a small glass of milk. I dont need too many carbs to get me home.

    I think the least they can do is see you more often than a that for your HBA1C's if they are not going to provide test strips! I guess you can suppliment them with buying some from e-bay - but why should we have to do that?

    Giraffe, can I ask if you partner had any lasting sight problems after the laser treatment, I am having treatment at the begining of next month, and was told that I could have a small "blind-spot" afterwards. But they said it was fairly low down in my vision, truth be told - I am a bit scared...

    Re: Eyes and treatment You are right actually, Specsavers did write to my GP - who then referred me to the hospital. Id totally forotten the GPs involvement. I am actually more afraid than I am letting on, about having the treatment done. So I will be glad when its over. Thanks for you good...
