I've had it for 41 years, since I was 7. I can't really remember what it was like to not be diabetic. I think that even if/when they do find a cure, it won't be for us oldies. The poor children who are diagnosed deserve a normal life ahead of them.

I've type 1 since 1975, and am 48 and overweight by 2-3 stone. I've tried Weight Watchers but couldn't stick to it. I think I need to go back to carb counting and less of them! Any suggestions on good Apps to help me please, there seem to be so many I don't know where to start.

I'm now at my all time heaviest, having put on two stone last year :-( I hope the new insulin will help with this, along with slogging it out at the gym!

Wow, you're on a low dose, that's good. I wonder why mine has increased so much. Thanks for this, I will persevere with it.
