Was 78 when diagnosed in April 2022. Was put on 1 metformin tablet. Significantly reduced carb intake and went down to 30 in July. Asked to come off metformin, diabetic nurse said no but dr agreed. Had another test in november and was 29. Am maintaining fasting glucose between 4.5 and 6.

Had a retest at mt GP surgery on Wednesday fasting BS down to 7.4 due to lower carb diet HbA1C slightly lower at 74 (1 week of lower carb).
