Born in Glasgow in 1971, I moved down to the North West of england in 2005 and I am a Doctor of Food Science and Microbiology and currently work for United \utilities as a Scientist. I love the work but have to regulate my Diabetes carefully as a lot of lone working is involved with the post.
When I left Uni I actually got a post as a Chocolate taster, but my control went haywire, the waist-line went pop and my Doctor went off on one big time!!! (I can see her point right enough) so I had to quit.
I have been a diabetic since 1976 when I was 5, and have learnt to cope with the constant companion that is injecting insulin.
Currently engaged to the lovely Sharon who has her own terminology for diabetic things such as a Hypo being a "Woo-woo" ah she means well!!
