    Travelling with Insulin Pump

I travel with my Medtronic 780g and Simplera closed loop sensors. My Diabetes team provided me with a letter stating my pump and sensor cannot go through X-ray. I always get a pat down and they swab the pump.

Be careful not to over shoot, good levels are coming down.

Sasha 1!: You maybe at risk of DKA if you aren’t able to check ketones ring 111 back or go to A&E. Has the Diabetic team contacted you yet.

That’s very high BG. Have you checked ketones and are you not able to obtain the Guardian 4 as I thought they were available.

Thanks Nicola for your reply. I have a Libre [emoji638] with me but I don’t think it works with the [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji639]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]g. Medtronic 7[emoji644][emoji646]g and Simplera closed loop SmartGuard

Hi Has anyone had experience of the Medtronic 780 g with Simplera smartguard, when ill or away on holiday and levels are around 15-20 mmol, on my 640g I used to set a temporary basal of 25-50%extra to combat high levels. I don’t know how to increase the basal without taking smartguard off. I...

    Hyperglycemia

I’m on the 780g with Simplera sync using Novorapid and often used the dual bolus on the 640g pump. I found the dual bolus useful if eating pasta etc . Now my levels drop after meals as the food seems to take longer to process. However I find the Smart Guard excellent, except the Simplera only...

78[emoji646]g and Simplera reading vastly different to Blood Glucose

Dexta , thanks for your reply, I’m hoping it’s just a bedding in issue. Before the Simplera I was on the Guardian [emoji639] and the Libre [emoji638] before that. The first [emoji639] Simplera were spot on. Have to see if it Syncs.

78[emoji646]g and Simplera reading vastly different to Blood Glucose

Hi, hope you are well! Been on the Medtronic 780g for 3 weeks. Changed the Simplera sensor today, after the 2 hour warm up the sensor read 21.1 I did 3 BG tests and I was 14.1. I kept putting in the BG readings manually, but it keeps reverting to a higher reading. Now showing 18 on the smart...

Temporary Basal Rates on a closed loop

Thank you Searley for your reply. I always get out the pool on the low side as the class is pretty full on and I take sips or orange juice during the class. I’ll try a small bolus when I get out the pool, see how that goes. Appreciated.

Temporary Basal Rates on a closed loop

Hi all, I’ve been on the Medtronic 780g with Simplera for 2 weeks, previously I was using the Medtronic 640g pump with Guardian 3. I’ve been on a pump for 12 years. I do an Aqua fitness class twice a week and previously I used to set a temporary basal rate decreasing the basal to 75% 45...

    Medtronic 780g with simplera sync

Do you get loss of signal a fair bit. Yesterday I was out at my daughters and the system kept losing signal.
