Sudden unexplained change in insulin requirements

Thanks, interesting I will change my Lantus to see if there is any difference. WIth regards to pens/cartridges, both my Lyumjev and Lantus always comes in a fresh pen (I don't use a pump). Apologise if there is some confusion with my terminology. I do take care to rotate my injection sites and...

Sudden unexplained change in insulin requirements

I've had the change since November 4th and I switched to a new Lyumjev pen the next day.

Sudden unexplained change in insulin requirements

That was my first thought also, the cartridge was 80% finished. I swapped to a new pen but it was the same as the old pen.

Lyumjev and Lantus. For Lyumjev, I used to be 1 unit / 10g carbs. Now its more like 1 unit/ 5g carbs.

Sudden unexplained change in insulin requirements

Hey all, I was diagnosed as diabetic in August 2022. There is still some confusion around my diagnosis as I tested negative for antibodies (twice, the second time a year later). However a stimulated c-peptitde test showed I had low insulin production. My endo (who ive spoked to once since...

How much time do you spend having low blood sugar (<4mmol/L)?

Thanks for that. Yeah sometimes my libre will be reporting 3.2 mmol when a finger prick will show 4.0mmol. In my experience this usually happens a lot for specific sensors. For other sensors it will be a lot more accurate. But a bad sensor can distort my TIR and then ill get a dressing down...

How much time do you spend having low blood sugar (<4mmol/L)?

Hey, I try to maintain a very tight control of my blood sugar, and this results in my libre 2 reporting that i spend 10% of time below 4mmol. Now, generally that time will be in the high 3s. Rarely do I have a blood sugar that needs more than ~4g of fast acting carbs to correct. I also check...

Negative antibodies but low stimulated c-peptide?

Seeing as my antibodies are negative, i'm curious what this means for natural insulin production levels going forward. Mine are clearly reduced at the moment, but if they stay at this level i'd be happy. I think it is making it a lot easier for me to manage my blood sugars. I haven't noticed...

Negative antibodies but low stimulated c-peptide?

My ratio is roughly 1 unit per 10g. I haven't discussed mody or type3 with my endo, but ive only had a single appointment unfortunately due to staffing issues.

Negative antibodies but low stimulated c-peptide?

Hey all, So I was diagnosed last August as being diabetic. I was basically DKA on arrival. I'm 31, no family history and bmi of 20. I've had tests for antibodies (GAD, IA2, ZnT8) and all have been negative. I've also had a stimulated c-peptide (i.e. drink a can of coke, bring glucose levels...
