Bagpuss-wheels
I'm a Classically-trained musician, but cannot play my instruments anymore. I am severely physically disabled & I have 'multiple complex health needs', including hEDS, ''brittle' asthma' & SCI.
I developed steroid-induced diabetes, thanks to the corticosteroids that I need to take to keep me breathing, due to my severe asthma.
I've been confined to bed since Nov 2016, due to receiving another SCI (a thoracic SCI in November 2016 following a fall), having been a full-time wheelchair user due to a lumbar SCI for 12+ years.
I have battled hard & lost a lot of weight. Since the fall, I have managed to get my HbA1c down from 56 to 39! Unfortunately I still have to take insulin, though I'm now taking a lot less!
Listening to 'Classical' music.
12th scale miniatures, (as well as 24th & 48th! (I.e. dolls houses).
I have an interest in social history too, (hence the miniatures)!
Dislikes
People assuming that I have type 1 diabetes as I carb count and take insulin!
