Hey, I’m BethJo, 31 from the midlands UK. I’m a newly diagnosed diabetic which was caught randomly while I was in hospital for a severe infection. It’s been very stressful trying to get my head around it and despite having tested positive on the GAD test for type 1, my consultant is seemingly confused and can’t figure out which type I am.
I have an extensive family history of type 2 diabetes on my dads side but there’s so much to indicate I have type 1.
