Surely it depends on the carbs?
I've stopped eating anything sugary/simple carbs
Juice,fruit,sweets etc
I haven't had any for more than 6 months
I can eat 30/40g carbs in one meal and not see a rise in blood sugar(depending on type of carb/meal)
This is where I'm confused
Everyone on here...
I've tested myself more than 150 times now over the last 5 months and in that time I've seen an 10.1mmol,8.8mmo and a 7.2mmol
ALL the rest have all been in the 6's and 5's
My last few days morning fasting results where 5.5 5.2 and 5.1
In all honesty I've actually been feeling better since I...
Thanks for the replies
It's all so complicated,I don't know what I'm doing
4 months of low carb was about all I could manage
Especially cost wise
Obviously I'm not going to go back to eating white bread, cakes etc
Hi
Background
I was diagnosed type 2 in June 2018 after a 14mmol fasting blood test and a h1bc of 80

4 months later h1bc was down to 36
I came off the low carb diet and just ate relatively normally minus sugar, white bread cakes etc
Fast forward to...
6 months before I found out I was type 2 these were so frequent I used to carry glucose tablets and lucozade with me everywhere I went
Now it's once or twice a week
I'm wondering if it's more a mental thing
Thanks for the responses
I'm still trying to get my head around it all
I've been self testing for a few months and most results have been around 5-6mmol which is good
The episodes are much less frequent but if I go 3-4 hours without eating they will start and get worse until I eat something
Any...

Thank you for the responses
I'm going to try the more fats route
At 1st my main goal was weight loss thinking this would in turn bring down h1bc and I would feel good
It's abit disheartening bringing it all the way down and still feeling poorly
It's hard to know what's diabetes or anxiety but...
Thanks for the replies
I'm not on any medication for anything,Tbh I have a bit of a phobia about medication
Diet was based around ease and cost
I'm not working just now so cost is a big factor(it's too expensive as is)
When I showed the diabetic dietician my plan she asked why there was so...
