Hi Rich, welcome. i'm also t1 but 39 and don't play sport but do a physical job. it was really tough for me at first, but with good diet and control you will cope just fine.

hi Kate, it's really scary when it happens. have you seen the nurse?, it's a lot to take in when first diagnosed. my partner came with me and was ever so supportive towards me, i don't think i would be here today without her help. i'm sure you will be able to get the missing infomation you need...

i have virtually given up the booze since i became diabetic, don't miss it at all. but do enjoy a quite drink on holiday :P

i was told it could be a problem, but was able to get help for the condition. do not pay for it as the amount of fake stuff out there could do you harm. good luck and hopefully you will be back to normal soon

:shock: that's terrible, i had it the other way my company wanted to employ me full time (previously worked for agency)even though i was diagnosed with diabetes and was off for 3 month.
