Swapping from four injections to two?

Hi all, Has anyone gone from multiple injections, to just a two a day regime? Its been suggested I swap since my fast-acting stuff doesn't appear to be having an effect any longer. Has anyone else had a smiliar experience? How does everyone get on with the two shots a day? Any...

    Nothing to do with diabetes...

I was just thinking......maybe, if I arrive earlier than expected, I can spy on the others to see what they're wearing...then change in the car, if necessary! The only problem with that, is that I've never laid eyes on the rest of the team! Oh well, I'll go for wearing the uniform.....

    Nothing to do with diabetes...

Please, please, can someone help me! If you had to attend a 'team brief' would you be required to wear your work uniform? This whole issue has been causing me great stress over the weekend...and thus high BS! I recently started a new job and it involves working alone all day, every day...

    Great...I don't think insulin is working...help!

I've been Type 1 for about 3 years now. I've never had any problems - and I'm determined this won't be the start of any! I haven't changed the way I eat - infact, I could not eat anything and take a whole vial and it still wouldn't touch me. I've checked pens, tried new ones. I've rotated...

    Great...I don't think insulin is working...help!

Thanks for the advice. Its not the vial - I've tried a new one virtually everytime. I eat a really sensible diet - virtually no carbs. I also exercise regularly (and still do even though I have a bit of holiday time). I've gone from taking about 4-5 units to about 15-20 and it does nothing...

    Great...I don't think insulin is working...help!

Hi all, I take Novorapid...and I think it's stopped working for me. Is this possible? It doesn't matter how much I whack in, my levels are still sky high. This has only started happening over the last few days and already I've lost almost half a stone. Obviously I need to seek help. This...

    No injections....but still a hypo!

I'm T1..... and I've just started this job which involves walking for up to 8 hours a day. As a consequence, I've stopped injecting morning and lunch times, because I simply don't need to. However, the other day I had the onset of a 'hypo' in the afternoon. Now why is that? I take Levemir...

    Driving

HI there, I'm T1 (and obviously on insulin). I lost my category D and D1 on diagnosis. I have heard that 'non-voluntary' ambulance drivers can keep their C1 licence (to note: C1 needed to drive ambulances - people on insulin can apply for a C1 if diabetes 'well-controlled'.) if diagnosed as...

    Splitting Levemir - what?

Hi all, I've been Type 1 for a couple of years now. I'm currently on Novorapid and Levemir (30u at night). I'd never heard of splitting doses until visiting this forum. My BG control is OK... but would splitting the dosage of Levemir perhaps help me attain lower numbers throughout the day...

    Really good week-I think

Hey, that's great! You should both be proud. I've been T1 for over two years now, and I've never achieved BG levels anything near as consistent and low as that. Well done!
