A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

My highest was around 11.9. My highest when on low carb was yesterday 6.8 mmol/l after walking which used to reduce my BGs, now they increase instead for some reason. I had consistent readings in 10-11 range while atttemptin reintroduction of carbs. I have consistent readings of mostly between...

    2) Yes, trying the carbs out I have seen numbers like that at 2 hours. It is not much peeing but not small amount as well. Beef, chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, eggs, bacon, cheese, radish, various nuts, sunflower seeds, etc. I make meals of all those ingredients.

A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

    1) No, the OGTT was administered a week after the previous one, on the same conditions. I do not consider it valid as my endo would otherwise diagnose diabetes if he thought differently. A few doctors still claimed that non-diabetic would maybe show impaired glucose tolerance on low-carb but not...

A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

I hoped that my failure to pass GTT was because of low carb. I was told by an endo to resume carbs and I did for 2 weeks which is plenty of time to get back to glycolysis instead of ketosis. It did not help. So I was back to low-carb and cannot get back to that doc because of many reasons, I'd...

I tend to overreact and am actually getting help for this from my doctors. I had once measured a hypo which was at 3.9 mmol/l and yes it was not pleasant. I...

A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

I did, it is not a problem. I never measure less than 4.5 mmol/l on the meter. I sometimes wake up at night and have to go to pee. And have acetone breathe and taste at night. I am in ketosis so it is somewhat expected but maybe some people can observe something wrong with it all.

A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

I feel unwell when I am above 6.0 which is happening right now. I am sweating a lot and have a headache, feel a bit disoriented, etc. I ate 90% chocolate, which used to not get me above 6.0 but now I saw more. I always start sweating at 6.0 mark and feel moody right before 7.0. I do not have...

A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

I agreed that it was a good explanation but it does not explain why after 2 continuous weeks of higher carbs, I got nowhere with regards to restoring the metabolism. I now know the symptoms of a higher blood sugar and remember getting them as far as 2 months before the onset of some symptoms in...

A Very Mysterious Case of Glucose Dysregulation

I have browsed this forum a little bit before posting as a newcomer, but found it difficult to find the answer. Last November, I had some issues with what it seemed like diabetic symptoms. My diet was full of starchy carbs, no bad sugars or anything. Dr. Google told me that it could be...
