Diagnosed at end of March 2017 while in hospital to have abscess (lower back) drained. Have had quite a few related problems including a further 2 abscesses(which required draining) and multiple infections. Major problems getting blood sugars under control. Nearly always in high teens so was also put on insulin during a stay in hospital during which the consultants became concerned about how high my blood sugars were. I have had 3 lots of surgery from end of August 2017 through to the end of 2017 with quite a high possibility of further reconstructive surgery in 2018.
