    Hiah, our son is 12 years old and was diagnosed end of Feb this year. He is trying to overcome his fear of needles and at present is on mdi, and doesn't want a pump[emoji20]. He has dyspraxia and found doing his blood sugars very difficult and could prick his finger 5 plus times to get one...

We went to see our diabetic nurse to see if she could suggest anything, and our boy filled up and said he can't do it no more[emoji17]. She doesn't want to change any of his doses until after he's back in...

    He uses 4mm needles and I don't think they hurt him, I think it's the thought of the needles that are the problem[emoji20], and that he just doesn't want to do it

    Hiah, after two close calls in school our dsn has suggested we trial the libre. We will also be doing finger prick tests at meal times as we carb count.
