No matter what, stay happy and take care of yourself. Been a diabetic since April 3, 1968. Check my blood sugar levels by finger pricking 10 times a day, careful eating, and exercise are what I feel have kept me without complications for 51 years.
1 hour and 15 minutes at the gym 6 days a week. I am going to get back to hiking with the local hiking group. We fast pace walk for about an hour and a half after work. It's a good way to exercise and meet others.
Likes
I am leaner and healthier than a lot of people because I exercise and eat lean home cooked foods. Always eaten a low carb diet because after eating a carbbohydrate, my blood sugars rise 4 to 6 hours afterwards, which makes it tricky to manage.
Dislikes
Restaurants and fast food places sneak sugar in their foods, so it is hard for me to participate in social events involving food.
