as an hgv driver t2 on metformin dvla require you inform them they send a letter back after getting intouch with your doc the letter is just an info paper on what to look out for as for insurance i phoned mine and they told me unless the doctor says no driving then they dont need to be informed...

hi there im t2 and for brekkie i have either porridge oats and blue berries (not the ready in 2mins stuff) or a protien boosted wheat biscuit called protibick with blue berries they are like weetabix in shape and touch wood bloods always fine after eating

hi there im t2 since 19th aug 2015 on metformin 500grmx2 lost over 2 stone i was told no need to test both by nurse and gp however i felt the need to buy my own machine acuchek mobile i dont test every day but once aweek mainly sunday morning after fasting from previous tea time and test again...

yep 2x500mg a day lost 2st in 2months had the usual stomach cramps for a couple of days and blood average 5.9 happy days
