I thought it was pretty neat at first. Then I started using Libre. Initially I was using Glimp and it it worked well for importing prick tests for calibration. However, I'm now using xDrip+ with a MiaoMiao and it is quicker to enter the Accu chek readings manually for calibration than to...
Roller coaster 24hrs. I was accepted for Libre prescription in January and advised the start-up session would be April. Yesterday I was advised that due to winter pressures there was a back-log and I would have to wait until June. Got a call this morning and after a chat with a lovely DSN there...
'Me too'... As long as your phone if compatible just buy the sensor from Asda or wherever and away you go, everything you need is on the box.
I'm drawing to the end of my first sensor now (2 days left) and have found it great so far.
I would totally agree with this. 'In target range', the accuracy is pretty good. At the extremes it becomes somewhat pessimistic.
I'm double scanning at the minute with the Libre app and GLIMP. GLIMP is much more linear in its results and correlates very well to the my Accu-Chek mobile meter.
I rang round loads of places to see if anyone had any stock, supermarket pharmacies, Boots, Superdrug etc and drew a blank. Only ASDA Pharmacy were positive about being able to get some. I had to go in-store and pay up front though.
I'm glad I found this thread as it sort of confirms what I have found with the Libre since I started my first sensor on Saturday.
'In range' the Libre readings via the Libre app on Android correlate fairly closely with my Accu-Chek Mobile meter. Readings above 9mmol/l deviate to an increasing...
My first sensor working perfectly with the Oneplus 6 on Android 9.
The workaround for compatibility which required the notification sound to be turned on seems to be resolved. It works fine with sound on or off.
Apparently mysugr was acquired by Roche in mid 2017 so maybe it is a perpetual perk for users of Accu-Chek meters?
When I click on the "Extend Pro Days" button in the app it doesn't give me any option to do just that so fingers crossed. I've found incredibly useful in the time I have had it so...
I ordered three from my nearest ASDA Pharmacy on Thursday and they advised 5-10 days as they were having issues. They did say that they might get some over the weekend though so fingers crossed.
Having been accepted to get them on prescription in April, I hope the supply issue resolves itself...
It was a new years resolution for me to not re-use either pen needles or lancets again. I was getting too lazy. I'm amazed at how many I'm getting through now that i'm only using them once. Much more comfortable too.
I 'qualified' due to testing >8 times a day on average. General days probably only 6~8, days when I'm cycling or running typically 12~14.
As you say, hopefully things will normalise and improve wrt availability once it becomes more widespread and there is evidence of improved outcomes for...
