I've just read that people with weakened immune systems cannot have the vaccine. Does this rule out all type 1 diabetics? I can't believe it. This was one little sentence in a BBC article just now.

I have just read on BBC news that the vaccine they might be rolling out next week cannot be given to people with weakened immune systems. My son who is 25 has type 1 diabetes. Does this mean that everyone with type 1 will not be able to have it. I have tried to look into it but can't find anything.

Thanks for your reply. We have looked into the pumps. He is getting his insulin but he is now dependant on close friends and family doing it even though he is really pushing himself to do it. It means that it is really effecting his independence now as he is timing everything around when someone...
