    Dark Stool

    I've just started metformin 6 days ago. My stools went black,tarlike,with blood. Urine also tinged with blood. GP thinks I'm having a rare reaction to the meds. I've been told to stop metformin ASAP while I have tests. Check with your healthcare professional.
