Thank you for all your reply’s really helped and made sense since then he’s been eating more carbs and his readings are sitting at 7 & 8. We are at the diabetics clinic for appointment tomorrow so hopefully be advised on dosage of insulin.

Thank you yes we eat meals together I look at it as a healthy new start. I just don’t understand how his levels are down when we are trying to eat all the right foods. I think he may need more carbs as he starts to feel tired and gets muddled sometimes

Hello i haven't got diabetes my husband has just been diagnosed with type 1 i find it hard to understand is there any other members who do not have diabetes but just want to help there loved ones and know and understand how to do that?

No he tests himself at 6pm every night and we eat at 6.30pm. we work from home however he does sometimes work away when he acts like he is drunk youcant get much out of him he doesn't make any sense then he goes to sleep
