Do you feel that diabetes has ruined your life ?

Thank you. I've got a long way to go yet, though. It's a work in progress. I've been fairly steady for a while now but with the change in weather I'm hoping to get back out on my bike a lot more and move towards my target weight.

Do you feel that diabetes has ruined your life ?

That certainly sounds like something I'd look at doing at some point. The one I'm hoping to do this year is the Trans-Pennine Trail, which runs from Southport to Hull. It's 215 miles and I'm thinking of taking a week to do it in. It depends on a number of things like getting the time off work...

Do you feel that diabetes has ruined your life ?

First of all, I just want to say it's really sad to read all the replies to this thread of people who are struggling to cope with their condition and whose lives have been in some way damaged by it. My heart goes out to all of you and I hope you can find some way of alleviating the negative...

That's really interesting feedback. Thanks everyone. That's really helpful. It's a very good point about testing. I'm going to start doing that and taking more control. Thanks again everyone.

Type 2 What are your symptoms? (I don't have any and I'm grateful but confused...)

Yeah, I wouldn't count myself as a hardliner. I do eat some carbs, but I try to stick to as few as possible. I'm certainly not in ketosis. I was discouraged from testing my blood by my doctor. That said, I've since changed doctors because I'm not entirely sure what the last guy's doctorate was...

Type 2 What are your symptoms? (I don't have any and I'm grateful but confused...)

Hello everyone. First time poster. I was diagnosed with Type 2 last summer with an hba1c of 54. I'd had a blood test for symptoms which I have been told were not related to diabetes (headaches) and this had come up as part of that. I was badly overweight and did zero exercise, so I'm not proud...
