This sounds about right my doctor and nurse tell me not to test as not needed. they then send me to a dietician and they tell me to test 2hrs before a meal and two hrs after as that way i will be able to find out whay foods affect me so go back to the doctor for a perscrition to be told the...
i find that i get this after i have had a bad day with my sugars at long last i now know the name of it and can go back to my doctor with a name as they have not been helpful with it til NOw
Being a type 2 diabetic on diet control only i need to self monitor
last time i went to see the dietician i was told to do my blood sugar 2 hours after every meal but the doctor would not agree to perscibe the strips until he had spoken to the dietician as NHS methods are now no self monitoring...
i started on a very low carb diet the weight fell off but always hungary so put up my carbs to 100-150 killed the hunger pains but stopped losing weight got me blood sugar levels down to 5.5 -6.00 is there any way to get it lower without starving myself :wink:
Having only been diagnosed less than 2 weeks and trying to get my head round what i need to eat and what not to eat. i am findingf it hard with should it be carbs or nort because the same book can say yes or no please can any bodyhelp with either infro or a good scorce for me to read :oops:
