thanks neil, regarding the insoles i think it,s a health and safety issue, the shoes are made to a certain specification and they are not allowed to put a full insole in but the strange thing is they can put a half one in for the heel and arch.

thanks for the help folks, yes safety shoes or boots are mandatory in my workplace and half an hour seems about right, my feet are aching all day podiatrist can't even help as they are not allowed to put a full insole inside my shoes. i would thought some specialist help may be available.
