Over the years I've done most of the things I want to do - whether or not good practice advised against it e.g. running half marathons, practising martial arts, working shifts (including nights). At the time I was told by various health professionals it wouldn't be wise or me to do these things, but I went ahead and did them anyway. And here I am years later - completely unscathed and probably healthier than a lot of my friends and family of the same age who aren't diabetic!.
