Been unwell for a few days and absent from forum. Felt weird last night and this morning, poor sleep and much reduced food intake over last week due to 2 dentals procedures and full on gum infection. Somehow managed a 7.2. Expected a hypo!
5.5 this AM, possibly down to later start and test time. The variables involved that we know about need time and effort to measure meaningfully and there are likely a lot of impactful variables’We’ don’t know about yet.
6.0 today. Eating later than usual but lower carbs/lower GI food switched to evening meal. Might be a variable, might not. Next few months will eventually tell. On a demonstrably better path now at least.
6.4 this morning after an experiment last night. Finished eating early but had included piece of whole grain bread as last element of a Buddha Bowl based around spinach, tomatoes, chickpeas and hummus with olive oil and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast.
6.1 this morning. Poor night’s sleep. 6.4 at bedtime after eating later than I should have. The search for the ‘perfect’ dietary and exercise protocols continues( along with a healthy dose of habit and discipline). Maybe instead of ‘perfect’ I should say ‘optimal for me, at this point in time’. .
6.4 today. Looking at ‘Mastering Diabetes’ approach and Mediterranean diet as permanent and sustainable changes to try and remain in remission (reduced 49 to 36 Hb1Ac over last 5 months using Newcastle Diet but now need a solution for Phase 3+). Checking out all the Forum comments on this as...
5.9 this morning. Late night Greek yoghurt with blueberries after shopping trip. Better management and more activity coming soon…not Debbiescott levels of activity (how do you make time to do that? ) but an increase.
Misbehaved last night - 7 this morning. Now out for a bracing walk to and from dental surgery :/ . Beautiful crisp morning for it though and the dentist is playing Motown.
