I've been on it for nearly a fortnight now. Threw up quite badly two days in and have the runs today. Apart from that I've got a pretty persistant background sicky type feeling.
Really hope it subsides soon...
BG averaging between 7 and 8 though.
I went to see my podiatrist today as apart from getting bad winter hacks I'd developed an infection in the big toe of my right foot.
While she was removing the infection and cutting away round the hacks she commented on my lack of flinching. She then asked if I had tingling anywhere in my foot...
Yeah, it's pretty frustrating.
I don't want to get into thinking Type 2 just yet just in case the test comes back positive.
Still, less finger pricking and being allowed back to the gym has to be a good thing.
Well they're refusing to confirm until they get my C-peptide back. :(
But they've reduced my testing to 4 times a week and don't see a need to medicate just now due to honeymooning, so I reckon I'm Type 2. :D
Am I still allowed to post in here...........?
I presented with a Bg of 19.3mmol at my GPs surgery in early November. It peaked at about 22mmol before starting to drop.
The tests at the hospital were inconclusive about which Type, so they sent off for specialist tests.
I was on Glicazide for a few months, but it started giving me Hypos so...
We were harsh because the facts, as he presented them, suggested mismanagement.
I gave him a kick (like the one I got that saved my life) and then gave him advice.
When he elaborated his story my advice remained the same. It bothered my a bit that my post was singled out from the various other...
My apologies, but I presumed when your strips expired at the end of December that couldn't of been testing from at least then.
But that's not what you typed.
You can see how we all thought you'd done it off your own back, surely?
I'm sorry. I don't get why you'd rather buy it from dodgey...
You need to go to hospital and you need to go now if you haven't already?
You don't want to involve them?
Tough! Your a Type 1 with no insulin and high Bg who has been serially neglecting your condition. Your behaviour has made their involvement essential.
