    Does Metformin really help?

    i have been prescribed for past 4 months metformin,for ist month i took 3 x 500 mg a day but this was then increased to 4 x 500mg a day and this has got me down to 7.doctor has decided to leave me on this for a while longer.but i still get days when my reading are up to 13.
