Heart attacks and Type 2 Diabetes

Wow, glad to hear your alright. I have the same issue. I was eating low carb high fat to control type 2 diabetes. After having a stent put in the cardiologist wants me eating low fat. I'm a little lost now. I've been struggling, trying to do both and as a result not doing either. I see him...

    Possible Personal Problem With Sucralose/splenda

Artificial sweeteners are a tricky game to play. Dr. Bernstein's book says to only use tablet or liquid versions of the sweetners he allows. He says the powdered ones are bulked up with sugar. The Splenda wikipedia entry has this to say: "3.2 packets (3.36 kcal each) of Splenda contain the...

    I love mySugr

I got the free trial of the pro version by doing the challenge. I found myself not using the pro version only features. I really like the free app and have found it useful. But at some point I may create my own excel sheet to track blood sugar levels so I can better analyze the data.

    Frustrating Day

Maybe we should have a forum for diabetic pets. [emoji3] The only reason I suspect diabetes in him is because he gets sooooo thirsty. We are traveling across the country right now, but when we get home, I'll have him checked. He's 16 years old and is the third senior dog we've adopted. I...

    Frustrating Day

I have volunteered and worked at this place, http://saintsrescue.ca. I've seen hundreds of pets abandoned because they got old and frail. Your pal is very lucky to have a friend like you that will love him/her up to the end. Sorry everyone for going a little off topic. But im starting to...

    Frustrating Day

Anyone who stays up all night with their frail senior dog deserves much better than that and although it is no consolation you have my respect.
