    Type 2 Gliclazide and testing.

I’m on the same dosage as you and only Gliclazide Some will be the meds but some will be you too depending on carb load. How long have you been on Gliclazide and do you have testing strips to check before meals and 2 hours after? I changed how I took mine as I was getting hypos at night so...

    Anyone on Gliclazide alone

I’m on Gliclazide 160mg daily taken in the morning only cos of previous hypos during the night. I didn’t want to carb load as I was asked to do by the docs at night which would then give me high numbers in the morning and continue through to lunchtime and not help my HBA1c in the long term...

What machine are you using to check your bloods

The thing is I wasn’t told anything Just have you heard of this drug and ack we’ll just put you on it. I asked why and he said bloods to high it’s this or insulin and I don’t want to go on insulin if I can help it, but my bloods have been higher before and no mention of rybelsus just the offer...

What machine are you using to check your bloods

At the moment I’m using a 4sure courtesy of the NHS I was self funding a Libre but couldn't keep it up as I couldn’t afford it any longer. I’ve been told I won’t get a Libre because I’m type 2 on the NHS but I did point out so no funding to one if I end up on insulin then and she said I’d be...

    New drugs and now scared

I’ve been given Gliclazide and rybelsus and I’m scared of hypos. I was already on 80mg of gliclazide with my 10mg of Dapagliflozin but it hasn’t been working as I was plagued with thrush on the daily. So stopped the Dapagliflozin with permission. I’ve to start 3mg of the rybelsus then...

Ranting about having to phone repeatedly for appointments

Oh online would be brilliant but nope they don’t do that in my area. In fact I don’t think they do that in Scotland to be honest. They stopped you going in to do appointments phone only and by gum it takes awhile now and I’ve complained about it cos it isn’t working. The thing is cos my...

Ranting about having to phone repeatedly for appointments

I know it’s been 4 years now for phoning at 8.30am to try and get appointments and your 12354 in the queue. Usually by the time the phone is answered no appointments and the cycle continues. 5 days one week till I got through for an appointment and it was **** luck I got it to be honest...
