Libre Sensor 2 - PLEASE BE CAREFUL - Recent Issues

100%. In a way, I'm kind of glad it's happened as it has alerted me and promoted me to do more finger prick tests in the future, as you say, especially when low/high/questioning the reading as well as the odd random one to make sure it's working as expected! /

Hi all, Glad to see all your comments, suggestions and other experiences. To add to this, there is a freestyle support group on facebook for UK users with questions and issues. I believe there is currently a pinned post regarding a sudden influx of people experiencing the same issues over the...

Libre Sensor 2 - PLEASE BE CAREFUL - Recent Issues

Thanks everyone, I've been a T1 Diabetic since the age of 7, so when I went onto Libre about 30 months ago I was blown away. The main benefit being able to see the direction of travel simply by scanning after 5/1/15 minutes (I don't trust the arrows). What I will also say is that I get...

Libre Sensor 2 - PLEASE BE CAREFUL - Recent Issues

BACKGROUND: I've been using the libre2 sensor on prescription for well over 2 years now with no issues (apart from two falling off, and one telling me it had malfunctioned a week into it's life). On the rare occasion I have calibrated my sensor with a finger prick it has been usually either spot...

    Diabetic retinopathy/employment

Hi, A bit off tangent. But due to you having had so much laser to the point they weren't able to fit anymore in... did they not offer ANTI VGEF injections?

    Rollercoasters and proliferative retinopathy

I wish my clinic had told me about the exercise etc. 2 years into treatment for PDR with a bit of laser and injections and then 4 months without. Things were stable, I went to the gym continuing my heavy lifting for a couple of months and lots of jogging and bam... bleeds begin again needing...

    Retinopathy Advice/Experiences

Just to update further - Woke up this morning and realised my right eye is fine but when looking with my left it has two huge blur spots bang in the central vision. Faces, clocks, even the eye chart completely unreadable. Got an appointment at the clinic this afternoon. They said the scans...

    Retinopathy Advice/Experiences

So just to update: Continued with regular monthly injections until December when after scans a new consultant said they'd stabilised and I didn't need injections this time and to come back in 4 weeks. Great! Or so I thought... 2 weeks later I noticed a couple of blur spots. I then went to the...

    Libre 2 Alarms

Hi all, Am i right in saying if I set overnight alarms to go off if my blood sugars drop/rise above a certain level. An alarm will go off? Even if my phone is on the bedside table a metre away? I always thought it could only read your blood sugar when the phone was scanning your sensor a few...

    Retinopathy Advice/Experiences

Really glad to hear you're on the mend. Did you have any vision side effects pre laser? Or was it a surprise when you were told about the bleed?
