Hi I'm Paul
I've been a T1 diabetic since I was 2 in 1958.
My parents were told I probably wouldn't reach my teens.
Here I am in October about to reach my 60 year milestone.
I'm about to receive my second commemorative medal.
I have all of my limbs and my eyes are pretty good too.
I have a pump...

My wife is a Staff Nurse she has LOTS of experience with me and my complex conf. She's VERY interested however she is not a specialist.

Hi
I'm Paul.
Like everything else in life there are good and bad nurses everywhere.
I'm VERY fortunate to be under the Type 1 Complex Diabetic team in Birmingham at the QE.
My consultant is amazingly good and the Sister is truly wonderful.
I think you need to insist on a very important test...
I think hypos are terrifying depressing and horrifying in equal measure.
I've been type 1 for 58 years I've had a few in that time.
I feel awful for days afterwards.
I'm currently getting help from my diabetologist/endocrinologist complex type 1 diabetic team at the QEHB or UHB theyre supplying...
I'm interested to know what type of diabetes you have.
Are you type 1 or type 2.
There is VERY important difference.
But we'll done I've bought mine down from 13% old money to 7.9% in a year not anywhere near as good as you but we'll done. I'm a type 1 for 58 years.
