Had Type 1 since 1971. Remember jam jars with industrial spirit to hold my syringes, and the leaky plastic syringe cases. Not fun in London in the 70's, when going into public buildings burly security guards would check your bags, and demand to know what the paraphenalia was all about. Diabetic management and control is much eaier, cleaner and better now.
