Once-weekly drug Trulicity released in UK to treat type 2 diabetes

I am also on Victoza and would like more information on Trulicity and its cost. Can we ask to change to it, I have been on Victoza 3 or 4 years now with good control but I am always willing to try something else.

Normally you would expect to be on at least Metformin as well, have you ever been on other diabetic medications?

Hi John, I would wait a bit longer, you dont mention any side effects normally you would expect to have a reduced appetite and feeling a bit nauseous at this stage and the reduced food intake would reduce your levels and hopefully a bit of weight loss.

No one has mentioned that in UK the maximum Victoza dose is 1.2mg per day but in America its 1.8mg (50% more) what dose had the post-mortem pancreas samples been on?

Go with the flow smudge and loose weight all you can, I lost for around 6 months and then no more lose. I think the first 6 months are the best chance to loose weight so go for it. Ed

It takes a bit of time to get used to it but its well worth the effort, keep meals small and simple. I have been on it 18 months now without any problems, good luck Ed.

You do feel strange for the first few days, eat very small plain meals maybe just a simple soup nothing spicy.

In the UK 1.2 is the max dose, I think you need to loose 5% of body weight to stay on Victoza.
