I have been using Victoza for around 10 years with good results but now its not working as good. I on 1.2mg but increased to 1.8mg but my Hbaic levels are still too high. I am also on 2000 mg metformin but nothing else, what is my next step I want to avoid insulin as long as possible.
I am also on Victoza and would like more information on Trulicity and its cost. Can we ask to change to it, I have been on Victoza 3 or 4 years now with good control but I am always willing to try something else.

I would wait a bit longer, you dont mention any side effects normally you would expect to have a reduced appetite and feeling a bit nauseous at this stage and the reduced food intake would reduce your levels and hopefully a bit of weight loss.
No one has mentioned that in UK the maximum Victoza dose is 1.2mg per day but in America its 1.8mg (50% more) what dose had the post-mortem pancreas samples been on?
Go with the flow smudge and loose weight all you can, I lost for around 6 months and then no more lose. I think the first 6 months are the best chance to loose weight so go for it.

Keep with it and you will loose weight for around the first 6 months possible due to lack of appetite feeling nauseous etc but after that its up to you to change your habits. There are also a lot of other benefits, my ALT levels went down a lot these are not fully understood but I...
It takes a bit of time to get used to it but its well worth the effort, keep meals small and simple. I have been on it 18 months now without any problems, good luck Ed.
