For those of you who live alone and type 1.

Hello, I’m going to be living on my own soon without my daughter, after being diagnosed in 2001 So I’m here to ask for feedback of how other type 1’s manage life and living on their own. The thought of it is scary me so much! I don’t know life living on my own in every shape or form, but the...

feeling feeling tired after eating my dinner

Mine go like this when I have a lot of carbs in a meal and no matter how accurate I have been with my carb/insulin ratio. I was advised to eat 40g carbs per meal and this works out well. However I don’t have the willpower to maintain this with every meal and when I do have a lot of carbs I shoot...

    Dexcom G7 on the NHS?

My DSN at my hospital recently gave me a trial of the Dexcom One, but after my 10 day trial I told her that I didn’t want to continue with it. But I wasn’t allowed any of the other models, as I’m not on a pump. After being on the FreeStyle Libre, from the NHS, I bought out of my own money the...

Do you adjust basals depending on evening meal?

Can I just ask why you take more Levemir in the evening and less in the morning? And not the other way around, ie more in the morning and less in the evening?

Dexcom One - What's it like in use?

There are far too many signal loss alarms with it, that go off all hours of the day and night. Also the screen keeps freezing with a message about it being in IOS mode, so that you can’t even see any readings. I am a type 1 diabetic and expected more. Maybe this is fine for a type 2 but not on...

Do you scan your Dexcom G6 sensor on set up or not so that you can calibrate or not?

As the title says, do you scan your sensor so that you have the factory calibration or go code free, on initial set up? Which option from the two do you find the readings more accurate and reliable? And of course give you more peace of mind in your readings. Finally, do you have the ability to...

Dexcom One - What's it like in use?

I stand corrected now, as my readings for the first week were in fact lower by up to 3mml at times. But, now it’s more or less the same as a finger prick test on my meter. I am currently on the FreeStyle Libre 2 though the NHS, but I don’t have much faith in those readings either, as for me they...

Dexcom One - What's it like in use?

I was given one sensor by my diabetic nurse at the hospital and have just tried it for the last week and I do not like it at all. I have had far too many lows compared to my finger prick stick, so because of this I don’t want to change to it.
