Just update and advice. Apparently blood test come back OK and when I asked what was the reading she couldn't say just said it says treat as high risk of diabetes! Got appointment with Dr next week as I don't understand why I'm getting symptoms and had sugar in urine

Thankyou I have blood test booked for 23rd. Just the syptoms which I didn't have are feeling so hungry and shakey even after I've had a meal. Plus my vision like there's a film on eyes and i want to rub them to clear them.

When nearly all your family is diabetic I think I have need to worry. Dad t2 died of it sister t2 grandad t2 auntie t2 mum not sure t1/t2 as her pancras packed up her brother t1. Both grandad and dad got gangrene in both feet. I think you would be worried when you start getting syptoms!

Thank You is there any other tests for diabetes except hbac1. I know when I was the steriods I felt awful couldn't keep my eyes open and no energy everyone said it would do the opposite! I do have M.e as well which doesn't help so very little exercise.

O that going to be interesting as I'm on my 4th lot antibiotics this year. In Jan I had chest infection and had steriods and antibiotics. Now second lot of antibiotics for water infection!

Thanx for good advice with my poor mum she was left with high hba1c the consultant at the hospital said her and my Gp new for over a year and not treated her!With my Dad he struggled with not eating sweet stuff and diet hence contributed to what happened!
