    Hi, Has your father read "Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Solution: A Complete Guide To Achieving Normal Blood Sugars". Dr Bernstein was diagnosed with T1D at age 12 and devised his own low-carb solution. You'll find the book on Amazon. Hope this helps.
