I was diagnosed with type 1 back in june 2013. I've had a very hard struggle coming to terms with it and still to this day have not got into the routine of controlling it. I learnt that depression can come along with it which unfortunately did for me.
On the other hand I've had the best support from my other half as well as my family and his.
Before I was diagnosed I was a very bubbly girl that enjoyed life to the full. I feel like being a T1 has completely taken away my personality, I know they say it can take over your life if you allow it too and I feel I have .. more to the fact that no one actually understands how I feel deep down because I have no one that suffers from T1. I've joined this site to hopefully get some advice on how to make it part of your daily living as well as meeting people who are in the same boat as me and can relate too.
