I'm 57 and have been diabetic since April 2015. I have been taking Insulin to manage my diabetes. I became diabetic after having my Gall Bladder removed. It started as a pancreatitis attack. I was on a feeding tube for months at a time and finally had 80% of my pancreas removed. I was in and out of the hospital for weeks at a time. I also recently had one of my parathyroids removed. It was not cancer but it was causing my calcium level to sky rocket. It was 13.6 and was discovered during a routine lab test. They admitted me immediately to the hospital to get it lowered. I was also in the military for almost 5 years. I was assigned to the 82d Airborne division and served from June 19787 to Oct 1982. I have been in a relationship for over 12 years.
