    Ok, that's interesting, if not a tad alarming.. I am completely baffled to why my HbA1c aren't moving more dramatically, I have looked at symptoms of type 1 and I can relate to most of those listed, but isn't that always the case?! You have certainly given me a lot to think about.

    I'm pleased with my cholesterol levels, no intention of taking statins, its my HbA1c levels I would like to minimise further.

    High Cholesterol runs in the family, I would prefer not to take statins, I appreciate that porridge is not good for BS but its good for Cholesterol, balancing the two evils I guess!

    I should be able to maintain this diet summer and winter. Obviously I would like to see my HbA1c drop below where they are now, however without dropping my porridge for breakfast I'm struggling to see what else I can do to make the bigger change you mention.

    Thank you! I'm also using cider vinegar as a salad dressing each day. Interestingly my blood glucose levels we up by 1 today for no good reason, same diet, My only explanation is that I have been stressed with a late delivery at work?!
